Charlestown, Nevis (Curtis Morton): Saeed Williams, son of former West Indies opening batsman Stuart Williams, sparkled at the ET Willet Park with a classy century on Monday as the Nevis under 17’s continued preparations towards the selection of a team for an upcoming tournament.

In the specially arranged match which specifically had the top batsmen pitting their skills against the top bowlers, young Williams stroked the ball effortlessly all around the Park before he retired out on completing the land mark. The team score was 195 for 2: Saeed Williams 102 retired out; Philo Wallace 27*; Captain Theron Bussue 25; Ross Powell 9

Kezron Archibald 7 overs-1 maiden—11 runs -1 wicket

Hakeem Harvey 9-overs—0 maidens -41 runs –1 wicket

Another match will be played on Tuesday 4th December when another set of batsmen and bowlers will be featured.

A Nevis under 17 team will then travel to St.Kitts on Wednesday 5th December to engage their counterparts there in a 45 overs practice match at the Conaree Grounds.  The St.Kitts team is expected to be competitive as the players are being coached by another former West Indies player, Keith Arthurton.
