NEWLY-INSTALLED West Indies head coach Stuart Law will be focusing mainly on improving the West Indies One-Day International squad. And to do that, he plans to get accustomed to the region’s varying cultures and develop in the players a work ethic that would enable them to perform at their best.
The Australian was speaking yesterday following a net session with the regional squad at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in St John’s, Antigua. The West Indies will play the first of three ODIs against England at the venue tomorrow.
“My main onus is to try and qualify for the next 50-over World Cup; so these one-day games will be extremely important to us, so that’s our main focus at this stage,” the 48-year-old told reporters.
