(SKNAAA) It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Mr Steadroy Techeira, affectionately known to all as simply ‘Tish’.

The news of Tish’s passing impacted us even more greatly in the Athletics family, given the fact that it was only on Sunday 12th February that his presence was most visible at the Beach Allen Primary School’s Sports Day held at the Kim Collins Athletic Stadium.

While reflecting on Tish’s demise, President Glenville Jeffers lamented that the St Kitts and Nevis Amateur Athletic Association (SKNAAA) and the sporting fraternity in the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis have lost a loyal and dedicated volunteer who officiated at our competitions for many decades. He will surely be missed.

On behalf of the athletes, coaches, officials and the SKNAAA Executive Committee we wish to extend deepest and sincerest condolences to Tish’s family and the grieving sporting public of St Kitts and Nevis. It is our hope that in your midst of grief, we will all be able to find a measure of consolation by drawing on the warm and loving memories of a life who so nobly gave devoted service to the advancement of Sports both locally and regionally.
