TECU Southern Stars and Sacha’s Northern Starblazers booked their passages to tomorrow’s final of the inaugural Courts Grand Slam Women’s T20 tournament with their second wins in succession on Tuesday.

 

Starblazers defeated Creation Group Central Gladiators by 34 runs at Couva, while Titans scored a seven-wicket win over KJ Sports Eastern Diamonds in Cunupia.

 

 

Playing at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, Sacha’s Northern Starblazers, sent in, posted 130 for seven wickets off their 20 overs, thanks in the main to opener Rachel Vincent who struck a whirlwind 44 off just 41 balls that included three fours and a six. Leann Kirby supported with a hand of 28 (20), stroking three fours. Leandra Ramdeen was Central Gladiators’ best bowler, taking two for 33 from her four overs.
