After a long day of competitive action at the Kim Collins Athletics Stadium, the 2017 CENPOS Private School Championship is officially over. The event held on Tuesday 14th March, 2017 started with the field events then culminating with the much anticipated track events in during the afternoon session. This year’s championship was reshaped with several participating schools from Nevis and Anguilla. Ten schools keenly contested throughout the day in the Under 9, Under 11, Under 13, Under 14, Under 16 and 16 & over categories. 

The 2017 CENPOS International Private School All Age Track and Field Championship was sponsored by CENPOS with meaningful contributions from DIGICEL, Carambola, Carib Breweries (St. Kitts-Nevis Ltd) and the Department of Sports. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister with responsibility for Education, Youth, Sports and Culture declared open the athletic invitational championship. In his presentation he commended the sponsors for their significant investment made to develop the meet and the country. He also indicated to the athletes that they should do their utmost best as well as forge new relationships with peers throughout the day.
