(Caribbean News Now): WILLEMSTAD, Curacao -- The pressure on Curacao Governor Frits Goedgedrag has increased considerably in recent days as the Parliament and the community both eagerly await his verdict on the two competing groups existing in parliament.
However, in a press release, Goedgedrag offered hope that the discussion phase will be completed after the weekend.
Between last Friday and Wednesday the governor has held exploratory talks with several States members about the situation created after eleven members of parliament adopted motions of no confidence against members of the outgoing government.
Once the discussion phase has been completed, the governor will consider what steps he should then take.
