St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN); Several defendants went before the magistrate court for drug offenses over the past few days and were hit with high bail amounts.

Samuel Bussue and Gavin Boddy of Lagruite were charged with possession, cultivation and possession of cannabis with intent to supply. They were granted bail in the sum of $15,000. 

Valgel Hendrickson of East Park Range and Adrian Connor were charged with possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply and were granted bail in the sum of $5000 each. 

Livingstone Martin was charged with Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply and cultivation. He too was granted bail in the sum of $5000.

All defendants are scheduled to return to the Basseterre Magistrate Court on April 3rd.

Two other individuals have been hit with drug charges.

Allister Audain of Laguerite Village was charged with Possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply, and Jason Liddie of Millionaire Street was also charged for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply.

Police continue their marijuana eradication efforts, uprooting and seizing 14 cannabis plants ranging from seedling to 4 feet in height at Stapleton Village, 58 marijuana plants ranging from 6 inches to 3 feet in height in the Long Point area, and 10,500 plants ranging from seedlings to three feet in height in Mansion Estate.
