Police arrest one in Nevis shooting incident

Charlestown, Nevis (Contributed): Police have arrested one person in Nevis who is assisting with investigation into the shooting incident at Low Street on Tuesday August 7, 2012. Police in Nevis responded to a report of a shooting incident at Low Street in the wee hours of Wednesday morning. Two persons were injured and hospitalized. The police are appealing to anyone with information pertaining to this incident to contact the CID on Nevis at 469-5392, Ext. 27, or, the nearest police station. Investigation into this incident is ongoing.

Meanwhile, Joel Brookes of Sandy Point was formally charged for the offences of obstruction, malicious damage and battery on police committed on August 6 2012, according to a police press release. In Nevis, Ronald Robinson of Craddock Road was formally charged for the offences of burglary and robbery committed on August 2, 2012 at Ramsbury. Akeem Foster of Newtown was formally charged for the offences of burglary and robbery committed on August 2, 2012 also from Ramsbury.
