Denesia Smithen crowned Miss Culture 2012

Charlestown, Nevis (WINN):  Miss Coastal Air Transport Denesia Smithen is the new Miss Culture Queen.  

The nineteen year old Smithen, won the Nevisian Pride Presentation and the Evening Wear segment in Sunday night's pageant and was also named Ms Photogenic.  Born in St. Croix of Nevisian parentage, and raised in Nevis, Ms Smithen now lives in Cades Bay and is a teacher at the Charlestown Secondary School.

The First Runner up in the 2012 pageant was Techyna David, who though she did not win any of the segments made strong presentations throughout the show.  Sponsored by Development Bank of St. Kitts-Nevis the nineteen year old is a chef at the Four Seasons Resort.

Another nineteen year old Miss Nevis Housing and Land Development  Faith Daniel won Best Talent for her rendition of a song about culture, and the Second Runner Up Position.  Ms Daniel is a Junior Personal Assistant to the Premier.

Miss Carib Brewery St. Kitts-Nevis Limited Mikahlia Lawrence won Best Interview, while Miss NEVLEC Grace Percival was chosen by her fellow contestants as Miss Amity.

The seventh contestant in Sunday night's pageant was Miss St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank Limited Ronice Williams.
