Basseterre, St. Kitts (WINN):  WINN FM and other radio stations with transmitters at Ottley’s Level St. Kitts will be off the air until early Saturday afternoon (July 28) as a survey team from the Electricity Company does work in the area.

The St. Kitts Electricity Company (SKELEC) is conducting a mapping exercise in the vicinity of the transmitters, involving survey equipment that could potentially come in contact with low-running power lines.  It made the decision to turn off the electricity in the area, and notified the radio stations on Thursday that the power would be off until 2:00 Saturday afternoon.

WINN FM’s Ottley’s level transmitter services a significant portion of St. Kitts and Nevis.  The station continues to broadcast and can be heard online at www.winnfm.com.
