Basseterre, St. Kitts: Jermaine Whyte of Fiennes Avenue was formally arrested and charged for the offence of receiving of a BlackBerry cell phone from the property of Delisle Walwyn on July 6, according to a police report on Friday. In other police news, Tyrone Nisbett of Christ Church, was arrested and charged for dangerous driving. A juvenile was injured in this traffic accident that occurred on June 29, 2012 in Saddlers.
Meanwhile, the police also issued information on several court convictions at the Charlestown Magistrate’s Court.
- Marlod Kelly of Hamilton was convicted and fined $500 for being armed with an offensive weapon. He must pay the fine in three months. Failure to pay or in default, he will be imprisoned with hard labour.
- Jean Kelly of Hamilton was convicted and fined $1000 to be paid in six months for battery, committed on April 29. If in default, Kelly will serve six months imprisonment with hard labour, for possession of crack cocaine and $800 to be paid in 3 months. Defaulting on this payment will result in three months imprisonment with hard labour.
- Kinshenell Benjamin of St Pauls, St. Kitts was convicted for possession of crack cocaine and fined $1,500 to be paid in three months. Failure to pay will, he will serve six months imprisonment with hard labour.
- Lakenisin Seenarine of Pinney's was convicted for driving without insurance and fined $500 to be paid in three months. If he fails to pay the fine, he will serve three months hard labour. For using the vehicle without the consent of the owner, Seenarine will be fined $500 to be paid in 3 months. If he defaults, he will serve three months hard labour.
- Garfield Jeffers of Cotton Ground was convicted for possession of crack cocaine and fined $500 to be paid in eight months. If he defaults, he will serve eight months hard labour.
