No Injuries Reported After Container Tilts Over

No one was injured after a container tipped over on Sunday when one of its stands fell through the asphalt road on West Independence Square Street.

The incident occurred at about 9am while the container was parked by the Chinese Restaurant.  The container rested precariously on the adjacent building while it took employees of the restaurant about an hour and a half to off load enough items lighten its weight. It then took the crane a matter of minutes to lift it out of the hole and by 2pm the container was standing upright again.

The crane continued to hold the container upright to prevent a reoccurrence as the stand was resting right next to the hole in the road.  When all the goods were taken out the truck connected to container, the crane released its chains and the container was taken away.
