Basseterre, St. Kitts (WINN): Seven athletes have been chosen to represent St. Kitts and Nevis at this summer’s London Olympic Games: Delwayne Delaney, Jason Roberts, Antoine Adams, Brijesh Lawrence, Lestrod Roland and Tameka Williams will be led by Kim Collins.
Two other female athletes, Tiandra Ponteen and Virgil Hodge are on the Provisional List. They have until July 5th to meet the ‘A’ Qualifying Standard in their respective disciplines to make the St. Kitts and Nevis team. The announcement was made by the National Olympic Committee (NOC) at Olympic House in Taylors Range Wednesday.
The NOC together with the postal service unveiled commemorative stamps in honor of the St. Kitts Nevis Bronze medal men’s 4x100 team and St. Kitts and Nevis’ hosting of the Commonwealth Games General meeting last November.
