Human Remains Found in White Gate Area

Human remains have been found in a cane field in the White Gate area in Dieppe Bay, however, police have not yet identified the person.  Public Relations Officer with the St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Sergeant Stephen Hector, told WINN that “the Police in collaboration with the St. Kitts-Nevis Defense Force were doing joint operations this morning (Thursday) when they came up on an area in a cane field in White Gate area where they would have observed certain things which appeared to be suspicious.  As a result of that crime scene technicians were called in.  Bodily remains were found on the scene by our forensic analysts.”

Sergeant Hector said that a well was located right next to the area with the remains where there is a burnt patch.   At the time of WINN’s call, he said the Fire and Rescue Services were on the scene getting themselves prepared to check the well to see if anything could be found.
