Basseterre, St. Kitts (WINN):  Farmers on St. Kitts who suffered losses due to Tropical Storm Raphael will be able to claim some compensation through the Agriculture Department from a contribution made by the Government of Venezuela.

Minister of Agriculture Dr. Timothy Harris tells WINN FM that loses to farmers are estimated to be about $750,000.  He says while they will not be able to recover the full cost of their losses, the contribution will assist them in getting back on their feet.
