St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Officials of the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine have confirmed that there was an incident involving a Ross Community member that is currently under investigation by the police.

A spokesperson for the University told WINN FM Thursday (March 16) that Ross has no further comment on the matter at the moment.

However what’s been described as an internal memo issued by the University’s Safety and Security Department has made the campus community aware of an incident of sexual assault and armed robbery that took place on Monday (March 13).

Two masked perpetrators are alleged to have entered the residence of the victim and her male friend, with one of the perpetrators said to have been armed with a hand gun.

The masked men are reported to have fled the scene following the incident with cash and several valuable items.

The university is said to be working with the police in the investigation into the matter.

Additional safety and security measures are said to have been put in place in areas where Ross University community members reside.
