(Da Vibes): An initiative geared at enhancing sales, giving discounts and rewards to customers while at the same time stimulating the local economy will kick off from today.

The Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce (DAIC), Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association (DHTA), and Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) has launched “Shop Dominica!! Experience the Promotions”; a weekend of shopping promotions on August 24th, 25th and 26th, 2012.

As part of the weekend activities, businesses will provide considerable discounts from department and retail stores, supermarkets, restaurants and hotels to locals and visitors alike.

The overall objective of this initiative is to stimulate the economy by giving discounts, attracting stay over visitors and encouraging return visitors.
